CalARVC maintains a portfolio of experts who have expressed a willingness to contribute their knowledge and experience to support these industry events. Topics are chosen for relevance to current trends and the needs of the CalARVC membership.*
Here’s how it works: Each expert will have a 2-3 minute introduction of themselves and their topic. Then the experts will take a seat at different tables throughout the room. Each expert presents their topic for about 10 minutes leaving about 5 minutes for Q & A. The experts stand up and switch tables. The experts repeat their presentation with Q & A at each table throughout the room. After each table has met each expert (approx. 2 hours) an open roundtable session begins. Experts stay at their current table. Attendees are free to wander the room and ask more/deeper questions of the expert of their choice or of another attendee that they have met during the event. Many conversations started during these sessions carry on through dinner and into the evening.
California RV Park Day events are sponsor funded and structured to be affordable for even small parks to attend and bring staff. We do not currently provide payment or reimbursement for travel or lodging. However, experts are guests for the entire event (lunch & dinner provided) and find the relationships developed during them invaluable.
*Topics and the respective experts are selected by CalARVC staff and volunteer committee members. Submission of a topic does not guarantee selection as an expert.
